Hello friends - hello Wednesday. We had a fun Tuesday night at a minor league (Space Cowboys) baseball game, and also enjoyed taking Mollie to a dog park in the morning.
Today I have all the things we've been watching and listening to lately. Let me know what shows and movies you recommend in the comments!

We saw this in the movie theater - a funny movie if you like that kind of comedy.

Seeing Pamela Anderson in The Naked Gun inspired us to watch this Netflix documentary. It was interesting to see where she came from and how she got to this point in her career. Whatever you think of her, I think she was kind of a genius to "rebrand" herself with no makeup and a back-to-gardening- and-cooking lifestyle. I also think her "romance" with Liam Neeson was great marketing for their movie.

Ugh, this movie had so much potential. This is a remake of the War of the Roses, with a marriage crumbling into revenge. I kept wondering why these big name actors agreed to making this movie. Kate McKinnon was the only funny part!
Trailer | Netflix
We enjoyed this intriguing mystery about a woman that disappears off a cruise ship in the 90's.
A family man has a hidden past that comes out as he fights some Russian mobsters.
Trailer | Britbox or HBO Max
An interesting police drama, made even more intriguing by the Belfast setting.
Trailer | Netflix
This was highly anticipated by me, and worth the wait. I loved it, and am looking forward to a second installment in the works. (It is not confirmed but likely.)
Trailer | Netflix
I watched Season 2 while Michael was out for a poker night. This is different from the original CMT series, and I like both versions.
Trailer | HBO Max
Loved this! I am not a Billy Joel super fan, but watching this made me realize how much a part of my life his music was. He has an interesting story.
Trailer | PBS
We are in the middle of watching season 2 of this light British mystery series. The second season is a little different because there are several mysteries that they solve.
You can watch season 1 on Prime Video.

I loved the costumes, characters and setting in the Grand Finale movie. I liked that they "wrapped up" all of the storylines. But this wasn't a big hit for me this time around. I know I'm in a minority opinion on this one! My suggestion - go back and watch or rewatch the series! (The original series is available on Peacock, Prime Video or Britbox)
Trailer | Peacock
We've watched a few episodes of The Paper, and like it so far. It's the same kind of humor as the Office, and it's nice to have a 30 minute show to watch.
A show that doesn't get a photo on the blog - the Charlie Sheen documentary on Netflix. It was interesting to hear about his early life, but the later drug usage and rough lifestyle were just hard to watch. Don't recommend unless you are a big fan of his.
Upcoming Shows and Movies I'm Looking Forward To:
Dancing with the Stars
High Potential
Tracker
The Girlfriend on Prime Video
The Rainmaker on Peacock
As I browsed the internet to see new shows and movies coming out this fall,
sadly I didn't find much at all that I wanted to see!
Listening
It seems like all my podcast recommendations are about empty nesting and parenting young adults. But I guess that's where I am! The two podcasts listed below gave me lots to think about.
Our Time to Rise Podcast Episode 515
Midlife Matters Episode 334
Thanks for stopping by today!
